Introductions

My name is Erin, I'm 29 years old, and will be turning 30 in a few short months.  I live in a small town in upstate NY with my awesome husband of almost 6 years, Adam (who is also an artist), and our two kitties, named Munch and Mr. Pink.

I spend my days working as a dental assistant in a mobile dental unit that travels from school district to school district, providing free dental care to elementary students.  The office is based in an RV, and is a job I won't soon forget.  Having been so lucky as to have never had a cavity or needed a filling, this has proven a very educational experience for me.  As you may have guessed, however, this job is not exactly the most exciting nor creatively stimulating.

I spend my evenings split between homework for the degree in Art I'm pursuing at Empire State College online full-time for my third semester, and working as a tattoo artist and piercer.  I've been tattooing for over 6 years, and have recently returned from a 1.5 year hiatus due to a back injury.  This return to both school and tattooing have reignited my creative spirit and I find myself once again with too many interests and not enough time to pursue them!  When I'm not helping kids learn about healthy teeth, or permanently applying my artwork to someone's skin, I'm often painting, drawing, knitting, scrapbooking, photographing, sewing, cooking, or I'm reading or writing about one of those (or many other) things.

The purpose of this blog is to share my overabundance of interests and adventures chasing the spark of creativity wherever it takes me.  Be prepared to find a varied series of topics here.
